The position involves reporting to the Vice-Chancellor and providing strategic leadership, oversight, and coordination for our client's digital and infrastructure portfolio. This includes contributing to the development, implementation, and monitoring of University-wide strategies and policies as a collaborative member of the Senior Leadership Team. The role also involves providing strategic oversight of digital services such as information systems, cybersecurity, and data management and governance, ensuring alignment with the University's teaching, research, partnership, and commercial priorities. Additionally, the position involves supporting high-quality research and teaching infrastructure, including laboratories, farms, equipment, collections, and digital resources, while driving continuous improvement and embedding sound risk management, governance, compliance, and health and safety across the portfolio.Furthermore, the role includes advancing our client's commitments under the Treaty of Waitangi, ensuring that the University's assets and property are aligned with and supportive of its overall goals and objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our client's digital and infrastructure portfolio to ensure that it meets the needs of students, faculty, and staff. This position requires a strong focus on strategic planning, collaboration, and effective leadership to drive innovation and excellence in digital services and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a background in information systems, cybersecurity, data management, and governance, as well as experience in risk management, compliance, and health and safety practices.
