Renown Health in Reno, Nevada is looking for a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead enterprise philanthropy efforts. The CDO will be responsible for developing strategies to grow major, planned, and annual giving, as well as overseeing gift administration and recognition. They will work closely with Renown's leadership team, including the President and CEO, Foundation Board of Directors, and health system Board of Directors, to ensure fundraising efforts align with the organization's mission and goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating a culture of philanthropy, aligning fundraising with organizational strategy, and growing the donor base.The CDO will play a key role in promoting philanthropic investment to advance Renown's mission, focusing on building lasting relationships with donors beyond transactional fundraising. They will lead the capital campaign for two major institutional expansion plans: a $200+ million expansion to the William N. Pennington Cancer Institute and the construction of a state-of-the-art children's hospital. The CDO will also manage budgets and lead fundraising initiatives across major giving, capital campaigns, corporate and foundation grants, and events to secure sustainable philanthropic support. Success in this role will require close collaboration with community partners, including aligned fundraising activities with UNR Med.
