The Chief Development Officer (CDO) will be responsible for leading our client's national fundraising strategy and overseeing all development activities, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, planned giving, community giving, events, and direct response. They will manage a team of approximately 15 staff members, providing strategic leadership and hands-on fundraising expertise, while personally managing a portfolio of major donors and fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and accountability. The CDO will work closely with the Board of Directors, Campaign Cabinet, volunteers, and senior leadership to advance philanthropic growth, cultivate partnerships, and ensure our client has the resources needed to achieve its mission and long-term strategic objectives.In addition to growing revenue, the CDO will help shape our client's philanthropic strategy, engaging donors as partners in long-term solutions and positioning philanthropy as a catalyst for innovation, measurable outcomes, and lasting systems change. They will play a central role in advancing our client's mission by building transformational partnerships and ensuring the organization has the necessary resources to achieve its goals. The CDO will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the President & CEO, and will be instrumental in driving our client's fundraising efforts and overall success.
