the client seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead its fundraising, partnerships, and advancement strategy, supporting an ambitious effort to expand services from serving more than 800 older adults annually to 1,200 over the next three years. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and working closely with the Board and senior leadership, the Chief Development Officer will help sustain and responsibly grow a values-driven, relationship-centered approach to serving older adults experiencing isolation and loneliness.
the Chief Development Officer will design and execute a comprehensive development strategy covering individual giving, major and legacy gifts, foundations, corporations, direct response, and integrated communications. The role will focus on mobilizing diversified philanthropic investment to deepen major giving, strengthen institutional partnerships, engage new donors, and increase predictability and scale while preserving the highly personal model that defines the client’s impact.
the role also involves supporting an important facilities and community-building chapter, including financing strategy and donor engagement tied to redesigning a portion of the organization’s headquarters to enable flexible program delivery, volunteer engagement, and expanded event capacity. The Chief Development Officer will lead and mentor a small development team of three, strengthening development systems, discipline, and data-informed decision-making to support sustained growth and to translate the client’s distinctive service model into compelling donor opportunities.
