The client is seeking a Chief Curator to direct and oversee all aspects of its museum program, including the care, exhibition, acquisition, research, and interpretation of the museum’s art collections. This role also leads the content of the institute’s special exhibitions program.
The Chief Curator will develop and maintain relationships with the general public, donors, lenders, students, and professional colleagues to expand the audience for the institute’s collections, programs, and publications. The position is responsible for ensuring strong public engagement and effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
The Chief Curator supervises the Curatorial department and serves as a member of senior leadership groups and on other committees and working groups as needed. The role supports institutional strategy through cross-functional participation and oversight of curatorial priorities.
