the client seeks a visionary and collaborative leader to serve as its next Associate Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). In this senior role, the CCO will help drive the strategic evolution of a modern, University-wide compliance and privacy framework, shaping an enterprise compliance function that is data-informed and aligned across the organization’s academic, research, clinical, and administrative operations.
Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President for Finance and Operations, the CCO will serve as an advisor to senior leadership and the Board of Regents. The position will be guided by a landscape analysis of the compliance environment and is expected to support the implementation of a modern compliance model that strengthens institutional alignment and accountability across all campuses. The CCO will partner closely with leaders throughout the organization to promote proactive risk management and establish tools, structures, and mechanisms for early identification of potential risks, coordinated response, clear governance, transparent communication, and effective reporting and monitoring.
the client will have the CCO lead the Office of Institutional Compliance and provide oversight for core compliance programs and activities. The CCO will work with the Board of Regents and provide regular reporting to the Audit and Compliance Committee. Success in this role is expected to require strong influence and relationship-building skills to lead through collaboration in a complex, decentralized environment while bringing best practices and fresh perspectives to the compliance function.
