the client seeks a visionary, collaborative leader to serve as Associate Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer. As a senior enterprise role, the Chief Compliance Officer will drive the strategic evolution of a modern, University-wide compliance and privacy framework, supporting a data-informed approach to compliance across academic, research, clinical, and administrative operations.
The Chief Compliance Officer will implement a modern compliance model informed by an internal landscape analysis, enhancing institutional alignment and accountability while building a culture of proactive risk management. The role will develop and distribute tools, structures, and mechanisms to enable early identification of potential risks, coordinated response, clear governance, transparent communication, and effective reporting and monitoring across a complex, decentralized environment. The Chief Compliance Officer will serve as an advisor to senior leadership and the Board of Regents, and will provide regular reporting to the Audit and Compliance Committee.
In addition, the Chief Compliance Officer will lead the Office of Institutional Compliance and oversee core compliance programs and activities. The successful candidate will be a relationship-focused influencer who brings best practices and fresh perspectives to strengthen compliance function maturity and effectiveness across multiple campuses, while providing confident guidance to senior stakeholders and governing bodies.
