The client is seeking a Chief Communications and External Affairs Officer to serve as the most senior strategic communications leader, defining the organization’s narrative, voice, and external influence strategy. The role will mobilize stakeholders, build partnerships and coalitions, and galvanize national support aimed at redesigning public education systems.
In this position, you will lead communications efforts that help translate research, policy, and consulting work into actionable messaging and advocacy. You will work collaboratively to identify trends through data collection and analysis, support policy change efforts, and partner with education leaders to strengthen curriculum and instruction, build coherent student experiences, and connect learning to real-world skills, careers, and postsecondary success.
The client is a fully remote, national organization focused on evidence-based solutions and strengthening educational capability. The role is expected to operate across states and systems, guiding external-facing strategy at scale; experience in senior strategic communications and external affairs leadership is typically required to effectively drive influence, coalition-building, and stakeholder alignment.
