Description

The client is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to drive commercial growth and strengthen relationships that support music education access for children. Reporting to the Managing Director – UK, the CCO will own executive responsibility for Sales and Schools Experience, providing strategic direction and ensuring the right strategy, systems, insight, and performance disciplines are in place through experienced senior leaders.

In this role, the CCO will focus on both maximizing the existing commercial operation and identifying and delivering next sources of growth. Responsibilities include improving sales conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value by applying commercial thinking to how schools experience and engage with the offering, and using feedback from schools to shape the wider experience and proposition. A significant portion of time will be spent beyond the current operation, including identifying, testing, and implementing new opportunities such as pricing and tiering, new propositions, partnerships, funding models, and routes to market, while personally championing ideas to scale and applying disciplined decision-making to prioritize what creates real impact.

The CCO is expected to contribute to how the organization grows internationally and to work effectively with the leadership team on long-term growth planning while maintaining strong attention to commercial performance details. The client welcomes candidates from a variety of career backgrounds, such as education, entertainment, children’s services, subscription or consumer businesses, technology, or other commercially demanding environments, with emphasis on having solved scale and quality commercial challenges—such as improving an established revenue engine, creating meaningful new growth sources, leading through strong functional leaders, and building productive partnerships across organizations.
