Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a Chief Commercial Officer at a global organization specializing in scientific services and informatics. The ideal candidate will oversee the unification and scaling of a high-performing sales, marketing, and advisory team. This leadership role involves managing key operations across the US, EU, and APAC regions, and uniting teams into a single metrics-driven revenue engine aimed at enterprise account expansion and new business acquisition. The successful applicant will build and implement a multi-year commercial growth strategy, engage in consulting-driven deal shaping, and work on post-sale expansion while fostering strategic relationships with global biopharma, biotech, and research organizations.

The candidate should have over 20 years of experience in life sciences services, scientific informatics, bioinformatics, or data/analytics-driven consulting. A history of successfully scaling mid-sized or growth-stage companies, with credibility among R&D, discovery, and data science leaders, is essential. The role demands proven experience in complex consultative enterprise sales and the ability to manage distributed teams internationally. A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset is preferred over a purely enterprise or product-only focus. The position offers a competitive annual salary of up to $300,000, a performance-linked bonus structure, and a long-term incentive package aligned with the value creation strategy.

The successful CCO will develop a cohesive global commercial leadership team, establishing predictable and scalable commercial operations. This role requires strategic influence across various scientific and R&D stakeholders, with a focus on sustained revenue growth in alignment with long-term value creation. The position offers the flexibility to work remotely, combined with travel requirements to meet with prospective clients, and includes one day a week in the Boston office. This opportunity allows the CCO to drive and shape the commercial strategy within a highly collaborative and innovative environment in the life sciences industry.
