The client seeks a Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) to lead strategy, stewardship, and growth of an impact-focused portfolio of philanthropists and impact investors across the US and Europe, supporting the continued expansion of its investment portfolio and stated impact.
The CBDO will act as a primary driver of capital growth and external engagement, building trusted relationships and securing new investment capital and philanthropic guarantee commitments. Responsibilities include leading guarantor recruitment, raising capital to support the client’s Global Economic Opportunity Notes program, and forming strategic partnerships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional investors.
Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership and relationship-building capabilities, with the ability to advance business development priorities, represent the organization externally, and manage efforts tied to capital formation and partnership development. The role is focused on cultivating and stewarding relationships that enable philanthropic guarantees and investment support for sustainable livelihoods in emerging economies.
