The client is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to lead a fully integrated advancement and external engagement strategy that supports long-term organizational sustainability. Reporting to the President & CEO and serving as a core member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CAO will help advance a $150M capital campaign while elevating the client’s brand, regional profile, and community impact across senior healthcare services.
In this transformational leadership role, the CAO will unify philanthropy with marketing, communications, board engagement, government relations, and strategic partnerships under a cohesive growth framework. The position is expected to expand diversified revenue streams and position the client as a leading voice in aging services and senior healthcare, requiring executive presence, strategic vision, and fluency in healthcare to drive meaningful growth within complex, mission-driven systems.
The CAO will partner with the CEO to develop and execute a multi-year advancement and external relations strategy aligned with organizational priorities, working closely with the Board and executive team to strengthen and diversify the philanthropic base. Responsibilities include establishing revenue targets, performance metrics, and accountability systems across fundraising channels; participating in executive leadership planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives; and improving forecasting and reporting to monitor performance for philanthropy and communications, while fostering a culture that supports advancement excellence.
