The client is seeking a Chief Advancement & External Affairs Officer who will serve as a core member of the Executive Leadership Team and lead a fully integrated advancement and external engagement strategy. Reporting to the President & CEO, this role will advance the organization’s long-term sustainability, including leadership of a major capital campaign, brand leadership, and broader community impact. The position is positioned as transformational, with responsibility for developing a best-in-class advancement function that strengthens the organization’s external visibility and influence in aging services and senior healthcare.
In this role, the chief executive will unify philanthropy and external engagement with related functions such as marketing, communications, board engagement, government relations, and strategic partnerships under a cohesive growth framework. Key responsibilities include partnering with the CEO to develop and execute a multi-year strategy aligned with organizational priorities, strengthening and diversifying the philanthropic base in collaboration with the Board and executive team, and establishing revenue targets, performance metrics, and accountability systems across fundraising channels. The role will also support executive leadership planning and budgeting to ensure advancement priorities are effectively integrated into organizational direction.
