The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is a key member of the OPS Command team, reporting directly to the Chief of Police. Responsible for overseeing all corporate services functions, the CAO ensures the effective delivery of administrative and support services that align with the expectations of the Ottawa Police Service Board. As a critical advisor to the Chief of Police, Executive Command, and the Board, the CAO leads the development and execution of long-term strategies in areas such as finance, human resources, facilities, information management and technology, and organizational development.The CAO plays a central role in advancing enterprise-wide transformation, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance organizational performance and accountability. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, the CAO leads negotiations, governance processes, organizational planning, and reporting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in business and administrative leadership, with the ability to drive strategic oversight and provide leadership in corporate services functions.
