The client is seeking a Chief Accountant to be based in Nicosia. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate recording of invoices, payments, and receipts, and managing accounts receivable and accounts payable activities, including bank reconciliations and payment processing related to Stripe.
Key responsibilities include multi-entity and intercompany accounting, such as reconciling intercompany transactions across multiple locations, maintaining transfer pricing records, and supporting accounting transitions linked to IPO consolidation, including the tracking of IP transfers. The Chief Accountant will also contribute to financial reporting by preparing monthly management accounts, supporting 12-month cash flow forecasting, assisting with budget checks across group entities, compiling quarterly board reporting packs, and building Power BI financial dashboards.
The role includes tax and compliance responsibilities, including filing Cyprus VAT and corporate tax, and coordinating related compliance activities with external advisors for other jurisdictions. The Chief Accountant will lead quarterly and annual audits with external auditors, maintain audit-ready records, enforce internal controls, support ESOP accounting, and apply working knowledge of IFRS. The ideal candidate will hold an ACCA, ACA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification, have at least 3+ years of relevant accounting experience (including intercompany and multi-entity structures), and be proficient with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with strong written and spoken English.
