A hospitality group is seeking a Chief Accountant to report to the CFO and CEO. This position involves overseeing the financial management of the group, ensuring effective team supervision and development. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for monitoring accounting systems and managing financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
The Chief Accountant will analyze financial data for budgeting and forecasting, approve payments, and ensure the efficient application of hotel software systems. They will also participate in budget preparation, monitor financial variances, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and laws. Other duties include liaising with auditors to prepare annual audit reports, managing payroll and related reporting, and leading the accounting team.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in accounting or finance and have over five years of experience in a similar role, with hospitality experience considered an advantage. They should be proficient in financial software and ideally have knowledge of hotel software. Candidates should possess excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team under pressure. This position is based in Limassol.
