In this context, the client is searching for a Chief Academic Officer (CAO) to lead their comprehensive and equity-centered academic program spanning from TK to 12th grade. The role involves high-level academic system leadership, integrated with community involvement within the unique social, political, and community framework of East Oakland. The CAO is tasked with enhancing academic outcomes while maintaining the clients credibility and trust as a community partner. The candidate must adeptly navigate Californias charter systems while building relationships with families, community leaders, and other external stakeholders. The CAO reports to the CEO and has oversight of approximately 200 staff, including principals, special education, mental health services, and academic teams.
