The client is seeking a full-time faculty neurologist to serve as the inaugural Chief of a Division of Comprehensive Neurology. The Chief will lead the division’s clinical, educational, and research missions, with goals that typically include optimizing patient access and faculty productivity, improving the patient experience, and increasing extramural research funding, while supporting the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
The Chief will foster and recruit faculty and trainees, strengthen collaborative relationships with departmental and hospital partners, and enhance outreach activities and engagement with local and regional community physicians. The role is expected to include developing local clinical protocols, clinical pathways, and outcomes measures to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of care, and leading the division to advance in clinical care, research, and training.
The candidate will supervise an academic team providing individualized inpatient and outpatient clinical care, education for trainees, and research in a collegial environment. The Chief will also participate in general neurology patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings and contribute to teaching responsibilities for medical students, residents, and fellows. All faculty appointments are designated as security sensitive positions.
