The client is seeking applicants for vacancies on its Board of Directors, serving as Charity Trustees. Applications will be assessed as received until all vacancies are filled. Selection will be based on identifying the most suitably matched applicant according to demonstrated alignment with the following areas: Housing & Property (experience in social housing, property development or construction, housing management, or property funding), Legal (experience or knowledge of Irish law relating to property or employment legislation), and Finance (experience or knowledge in accounting, auditing, economics, or other financial expertise.
The board meets on average six times per year and is preferably held in-person in Limerick, with some ability to participate online occasionally. In addition, board members are expected to participate in at least one sub-committee (Audit & Finance, Housing & Tenants, Quality Client Services, Governance, and Advocacy, Communications & Fundraising). Sub-committees meet on average four times per year.
The client is a not-for-profit registered charity that provides services to people at risk of or experiencing homelessness, including homelessness prevention, community engagement, emergency accommodation, and longer-term support, alongside social housing and recovery work. The organization serves clients and tenants across multiple counties and operates with a workforce that supports these services; board trustees will help provide governance and oversight to support the organization’s mission.
