the client invites applications for two inaugural endowed chairs: a chair focused on Data Science and Analytics and a chair focused on Systems Engineering Leadership. In partnership, the chairs will help elevate and expand research opportunities, develop innovative programs, and serve as collaborative mentors and leaders within the client’s academic unit. These roles are expected to contribute to the school’s ongoing growth, including increased graduate enrollment, expanded faculty capacity, rising research activity, and enhanced laboratory space.
The Data Science and Analytics chair will support research in the application and theory of modeling and simulation within analytics, data science, and/or artificial intelligence. The Systems Engineering Leadership chair will support translating the research, modeling, and simulation strengths of systems engineering into industry applications and organizational change. Both positions are intended to attract academic leaders whose expertise is distinct yet highly collaborative and complementary, strengthening the client’s national and international research profile.
Both chairs will function as thought partners and leaders, with key responsibilities that typically include mentoring junior faculty as well as graduate and undergraduate students. They will be expected to take the school’s research to new heights and inspire additional, innovative program development.
