The client is seeking a Chair to lead the organization through its next phase. Working closely with the Chief Executive and the Board of Trustees, the Chair will provide strategic leadership, ensure effective governance, and support delivery of the charity’s long-term ambitions. The Chair will act as an ambassador, strengthening relationships with partners, funders, and stakeholders to enhance the organization’s profile and influence. The Chair will also support the Chief Executive through constructive challenge and guidance, fostering a high-performing and collaborative working relationship. The organization’s work uses science, advocacy, and community action to restore habitats, protect marine life, and tackle pollution, with activity across the UK and beyond.
Candidates should be experienced inclusive leaders with a strong track record of Board-level engagement. The role calls for sound judgement, strategic insight, and the ability to balance ambition with effective stewardship.
