The client is seeking an inspirational, people-centered academic physician leader to serve as Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatrician-in-Chief. The successful leader will advance the department’s work across research, clinical care, education, outreach, and philanthropy, while building on an established reputation for pediatric healthcare and expanding the department’s reach and impact.
The pediatric hospital associated with the client provides high-acuity care and is known for specialized services, including pediatric trauma and neonatal intensive care. The Department of Pediatrics is defined by a commitment to scientific discovery, clinical excellence, education, patient experience, and quality, with faculty recognition and educational leadership that support sustained standards in safety and outcomes.
The chair will provide academic and strategic leadership for a large, active research enterprise, supporting research faculty across multiple pediatric domains and fostering an environment that attracts and enables investigators at various career stages. Reporting to the Dean of the College of Medicine, the Chair will lead and expand the department’s academic mission and oversee pediatric clinical services across a clinically integrated network in collaboration with senior health system leaders, ensuring effective and efficient clinical operations.
