The client invites applications and nominations for the position of Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatrician-in-Chief. This role offers an opportunity to lead a large, complex, and highly collaborative academic department and to serve as the senior physician leader for pediatrics across an integrated academic health system.
Responsibilities include guiding strategic growth within a distributed clinical enterprise, championing pediatric research and education, advocating for investments that support access and excellence, and aligning departmental priorities with systemwide goals for quality, equity, and innovation. The department provides a foundation for pediatric care, research, and education, delivering inpatient and specialty services through a primary pediatric hospital and encompassing pediatric subspecialty care across the health system, with emphasis on coordinating care across inpatient, ambulatory, and community-based settings.
Over recent years, the department has expanded its clinical footprint and strengthened its research and educational missions, with increasing demand for pediatric subspecialty care and growing interdisciplinary collaboration. Candidates must hold an MD (or equivalent), be board-certified in a pediatric specialty, and be eligible for appointment at the professor rank.
