The client is seeking an exceptional individual to serve as Chair of its Quality Committee, a key governance role supporting the Governing Body’s oversight of educational quality, student outcomes, and the overall student experience. The role typically requires around 10–15 days per year and will involve working closely with the Governing Body, principals, and senior leaders to provide effective strategic challenge and assurance.
The Chair will lead committee work focused on curriculum performance, teaching and learning, student achievement, attendance, safeguarding, equality of opportunity, quality improvement, and readiness for inspection. This includes reviewing relevant information, asking insightful questions, and helping ensure leaders are held constructively to account for performance and continuous improvement.
Applicants should bring senior leadership, board, or governance experience, along with the ability to analyse complex information and chair discussions effectively. Experience in further education is desirable, and a strong commitment to improving opportunities and outcomes for learners is essential.
