The client is seeking an exceptional financial leader to join its Board and the Finance & Resources Committee, with the view of becoming the Committee Chair in the future. This is a key governance role supporting the Governing Body’s oversight of The client’s financial sustainability, resources, estates, and workforce. The role provides strategic challenge and assurance on financial matters to help strengthen decision-making and organisational effectiveness.
You will work closely with the Chair of Governors, the Principal, fellow governors, and senior leaders, contributing to committee discussions and ensuring that financial information is scrutinised with appropriate depth. Responsibilities will include analysing complex information, asking insightful questions, and supporting robust governance processes. Board, committee, or non-executive experience would be valuable, particularly where it has involved financial oversight and strategic scrutiny.
The client is looking for candidates with significant senior financial leadership experience gained in the public, private, or not-for-profit sectors. You should be able to evaluate financial performance and risks, engage constructively with stakeholders, and help guide The client’s long-term direction.
