the client seeks an internationally oriented CFO for a central role in group management within a fast-growing company with complex value chains and a strong sustainability profile. The company is driven by professional private equity investors with ambitions for continued growth, scaling, and value creation. This position offers broad strategic and operational scope, with meaningful exposure to the CEO, the board, and the owners, and the ability to directly influence the company’s further development.
The CFO will have overall responsibility for financial management and for further developing the finance function. The role combines core CFO responsibilities with a clear mandate for performance improvement, analytical and structural strengthening, capital discipline, and strategic decision support. The CFO is expected to lead and develop the finance organization as an integrated, business-facing unit that strengthens financial insight, prioritization, and value creation, while serving as a trusted sparring partner to senior leadership and governance bodies.
Key responsibilities include overseeing financial governance, reporting, controlling, liquidity follow-up, and financial planning; advancing KPIs and decision-making information for management, the board, and owners; improving profitability through analysis and follow-up of performance drivers; and running budgeting, forecasting, and scenario processes with business relevance. The CFO will also contribute to strategic processes, investment assessments, capital structure discussions, and M&A-related considerations, strengthen internal control and financial discipline across the organization, and further develop the team, processes, systems, and digital support. The ideal candidate is analytically strong with strong business understanding, and has experience in a CFO role or a heavy finance/controlling/analysis leadership position with exposure to top management, boards, and owners; relevant experience in governance, reporting, analysis, and commercial decision support is expected, with industry experience in complex operational value chains seen as an advantage. Strong communication with diverse stakeholders and personal qualities such as structured execution, high prioritization ability, and collaboration are required.
