The client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the team in Singapore. The client provides 360° search solutions for the global commodities markets and works across trading houses, producers, majors, utilities, merchants, hedge funds, investment banks, and brokerages. This role will support strong global expansion and help drive the client’s strategic and commercial growth.
The CFO will spearhead development and execution of the group’s business strategy in alignment with the CEO’s vision, with a focus on finance, treasury, accounting, and investor relations. Responsibilities include overseeing financial consolidation reviews, budgeting, and strategic planning, as well as leveraging senior networks and expertise to drive fundraising efforts. The CFO will also support the CEO in managing the board and external stakeholders.
In addition, the CFO will lead the implementation of technology solutions by overseeing IT and process enhancements prior to the appointment of a CTO, and will help drive monetization schemes for internal stakeholders. Qualifications include significant CFO experience in the commodities sector, with exposure to agricultural commodities such as grain, oilseeds, coffee, cocoa, nuts, or fertilizer; experience in metals and/or power and energy is valuable. The role requires a track record in multi-entity global organizations and strong knowledge of reporting requirements, accounting standards, regulatory mandates, tax planning, and structuring, along with demonstrated fundraising expertise and familiarity with M&A processes; fluency in English is required.
