The client is hiring a CFO / Head of Finance (m/w/d) to lead and further develop the company’s finance organization. The role provides central support for a nationwide partner and system concept, strengthening partner competitiveness through coordinated services, standards, and modern IT and commercial systems. The CFO / Head of Finance acts as a strategic sparring partner to the management team on all finance-related matters and contributes to company-wide strategic topics.
Key responsibilities include overall accountability for the finance and commercial functions, including finance, controlling, payroll accounting, receivables management, and invoice review, as well as leading and developing the corresponding teams (approximately 100 employees). The role is responsible for finance and accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, consolidation, and reporting, and will further develop financial planning and management steering systems covering P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. In addition, the position oversees financing, bank relationships, and treasury, including liquidity planning, working-capital management, and the continued development of existing financing instruments.
The client expects the candidate to support investment projects, company valuations, and M&A transactions from a finance perspective, and to build and develop a structured tax and governance setup while ensuring tax compliance through coordination with external tax advisors. The required profile includes a successfully completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification, strong knowledge of accounting under HGB with ideal experience in IFRS, and multi-year experience in a senior finance role covering accounting, controlling, treasury, and financing. Preferred qualifications include expertise in integrated financial planning, controlling, and management reporting, experience steering strategic projects (potentially including M&A and investment decisions), proven leadership of large teams and complex structures, strategic and entrepreneurial thinking with clear stakeholder communication, and the ability to engage confidently with management, shareholders, banks, and external partners.
