Description

the client seeks a strategic, collaborative, entrepreneurial leader to serve in a dual role as Director of a pulmonary research center and Chief of a clinical division focused on pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. This position is designed for an accomplished physician-scientist who can shape, build, and grow a well-resourced research and clinical enterprise while establishing an integrated, high-impact direction spanning discovery from basic through translational to clinical care.

the clinical division provides inpatient and outpatient services, supported by multiple clinical sites and dedicated faculty coverage across critical care units. The center director and division chief will provide visionary leadership for both entities, strengthen and expand the pulmonary clinical practice, and align research priorities to advance impactful discoveries across a broad range of pulmonary medicine areas, potentially including regenerative medicine and stem cell biology, interstitial lung disease, cystic fibrosis, asthma and inflammatory diseases, and lung cancer, with an emphasis on exceptional clinical integration.

Reporting relationships will be to the dean of the relevant academic unit and the chair of the department of medicine. The division includes faculty, staff, and fellows, and the leader is expected to manage and grow the combined center and division through effective collaboration, operational leadership, and scientific direction.
