Our client, an international bank based in London, is seeking a Business Development Executive (or Manager) to focus on Buy to Let (BTL) Mortgages. This role aims to expand the client's retail business by developing strategic networks and marketing the client's mortgage products.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in business development or management, with a robust broker intermediary network and a background in mortgage lending, particularly in BTL. The preferred experience includes prior roles at a mortgage lender, building society, or high street bank specializing in BTL mortgage lending.
Key responsibilities involve pursuing new business opportunities through networking and increasing customer awareness of the client's products and services. The executive will be expected to achieve individual and client targets by engaging in sales management in collaboration with the Head of Intermediary Relations.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with brokers and keeping them informed about products and lending criteria is crucial. Additionally, communicating the main features and ensuring brokers understand the lending criteria is a significant part of the role. Participation in business meetings, social events, and networking activities is essential to promote brand awareness and identify new sales opportunities.
The role requires proven skills in relationship management and business development, with a track record of exceeding targets. In-depth experience with Buy to Let Mortgages and commercial lending products is necessary, along with familiarity with the mortgage marketplace. Success in this position relies on building and maintaining a strong customer base and establishing excellent working relationships with brokers, networks, and other stakeholders.
