Description

The client is seeking a Business Development Director to develop new OEM opportunities and build long-term strategic customer partnerships across the data center and broader power management ecosystem. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on complex, relationship-driven OEM sales where market intelligence and technical credibility are used to create revenue opportunities. The position will support long-cycle, high-value engineered manufacturing programs and help expand The client’s position within data center infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include developing new business with leading OEMs, building relationships across engineering, procurement, operations, and executive stakeholders, and identifying opportunities where engineered components and manufacturing capabilities address customer supply chain, scalability, performance, and capacity challenges. The role will lead opportunities from initial engagement through commercial development, close, and ongoing account growth, while developing a deep understanding of customer applications, technical requirements, product roadmaps, and supply chain needs. It will also partner with internal engineering, manufacturing, program management, and business development resources to deliver compelling customer solutions and support customer presentations, technical discussions, proposals, negotiations, and strategic account development.

The ideal candidate will bring significant business development, technical sales, or strategic account experience within an OEM-driven technical B2B environment, including proven success developing new business with large, sophisticated OEM customers. Strong familiarity with complex OEM sales cycles involving engineering, procurement, operations, and executive decision-makers is expected, along with established industry relationships and the ability to navigate large customer organizations. Relevant experience may include data center power infrastructure, power management, electrical infrastructure, thermal management, and related engineered-product markets, plus the ability to translate technical applications into customer value. The role requires independent work in a remote business development setting with close collaboration across technical and manufacturing teams, along with willingness to travel for strategic customer meetings and visits to company manufacturing facilities.
