The client is seeking a Business Development Director to support their Manufacturing & Products (M&P) Business Group in Plano, TX. The role involves building and managing a pipeline of competitive bid opportunities, fostering OEM relationships, and identifying Department of Defense and Federal manufacturing efforts to increase financial profitability for M&P. Responsibilities include establishing and fostering government, vendor, OEM, and industry partner relationships, as well as managing day-to-day business development operations and budgets for capture pursuits.
Qualifications for the role include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, along with at least five years of business development experience in a government setting. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of manufacturing and product-based procurement life-cycles, experience leading large BD/capture efforts on DOD and Government opportunities, and strong proposal writing and communication skills. Desired skills include the ability to write technical proposals, conduct competitive assessments, and negotiate teaming arrangements/agreements.
