Description

The BU HR Director is a senior leadership role within a large international industrial group experiencing significant organizational and cultural changes. As a strategic HR partner to the business unit directors and the Group CEO, the director oversees comprehensive HR responsibilities across Poland and a key European market, supporting various production sites and a large workforce. The position calls for a strategic yet hands-on leader to enhance talent, capability, and cultural development in a dynamic and decentralized setting. By aligning HR initiatives with business growth and transformation goals, this role ensures that the strategic objectives of the business units are translated into HR priorities, thus enhancing workforce capability and leadership effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include acting as the primary HR advisor to business unit boards, plant directors, and leadership teams across multiple countries. The director co-creates business strategies with leadership, translating them into actionable People & Culture roadmaps that align with the client's operational and financial objectives. This includes leading talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, and performance management, as well as fostering organizational culture. Engagement initiatives are driven through employee surveys followed by concrete action planning to improve employee experience. Additionally, the role encompasses managing leadership and high-potential talent development programs, enforcing modern goal-setting and performance practices, and spearheading change and transformation projects such as post-merger integrations.

The position demands a seasoned HR leader with extensive experience in HR business partnering, talent management, and leadership development, ideally within industrial or production settings. The director should have demonstrated success in guiding organizational change, supporting transformation efforts, and enhancing performance practices. Strong influencing skills, the ability to constructively challenge and advise senior stakeholders, and excellent communication and relationship-building abilities are crucial. An analytical mindset and a data-driven approach to decision-making are essential, alongside fluency in English and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. The role offers a high-impact opportunity to shape culture, leadership capability, and the talent development agenda at a pivotal time of transformation, with regular travel across different European sites.
