Client is seeking a BSA Officer to implement and manage effective Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance programs, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations. The role is expected to strengthen the bank’s compliance posture through hands-on program oversight, internal auditing support, and ongoing attention to evolving money laundering and terrorist financing risks.
Responsibilities include supporting the growth and development of the Compliance Office with focus on BSA, security, and internal audit procedures and policies, including audit activities related to loan files, security, and cash. The BSA Officer will complete BSA/AML audits and manage follow-up items, serve as an internal auditor by assessing operational risk at the branch level and supporting review processes, and provide exception reporting follow-up and documentation.
The ideal candidate will pursue continuous development and bring qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with two or more years of prior experience in regulatory matters. Additional requirements include working knowledge of Federal and State AML compliance statutes and regulations, the ability to read and interpret statutes and regulations, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; CAMS is preferred, and familiarity with core banking systems and reports (including those related to Fiserv) and an ability to provide BSA/AML/OFAC training and compliance assistance across departments are also expected.
