We are seeking Board Trustees with fundraising experience for a voluntary, unpaid position based in the West of Ireland.
The role requires attending periodic in-person meetings and engaging with management to support the mission of the client.
The client offers a wide range of mental health services, including online and in-person counseling in Galway and Mayo, with thousands of sessions delivered annually in areas such as couple's therapy, youth counseling, addiction support, bereavement counseling, play therapy, and art therapy.
The client aims to expand its Board of Directors, where all roles are voluntary. Board members will serve as company directors, attending ten meetings a year plus an annual general meeting (AGM). Both in-person and remote participation is expected.
Board members will actively engage in strategic assignments and collaborate effectively with fellow board members to ensure the board's successful operation. Volunteers should be willing to share their expertise and contribute to the organization's mission.
We are looking for candidates with proven experience in fundraising to enhance the current board's capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of marketing best practices and relevant skills. These include a successful track record in obtaining funds from state bodies and private donors, managing sponsorship relationships, marketing within the nonprofit sector, and leveraging social media to support fundraising and service delivery.
