We are looking for qualified candidates based in the West of Ireland to join the Board of Trustees for the client, an organization that provides a variety of mental health services. These services include online and in-person counselling in areas such as addiction, bereavement, and youth issues, utilizing a team of professional counsellors. In 2024, the client offered over 9,000 counselling sessions, also incorporating play and art therapy.
The Board of Trustees plays a crucial role in guiding the organization, and members are required to attend both in-person and remote Board meetings approximately 10 times a year, plus the annual general meeting (AGM). The client seeks to expand its Board of Directors, emphasizing the need for someone with fundraising experience. Board positions are voluntary, but members are expected to participate actively, sharing their expertise and engaging in strategic assignments.
Trustees are also tasked with building effective relationships with other Board Members to enhance the Board's operations. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of fundraising practices, marketing, and the ability to engage with various stakeholders ranging from state bodies to private industry donors.
Key responsibilities for the role include demonstrating a track record in fundraising, developing sponsorship relationships, and effectively utilizing social media for promotion.
