We are seeking candidates based in the West of Ireland to join the Board of Trustees for the client, focusing on mental health services.
The client offers various mental health services, including online and in-person counselling conducted by a panel of professional counsellors.
The client conducted over 9,000 counselling sessions in 2024, covering areas like couples, youth, addiction, bereavement, and general counselling, as well as play and art therapy.
As the client expands, they aim to include new Board members who are committed to attending periodic in-person and remote Board meetings.
The Board member roles are voluntary, and applicants are expected to become Directors of the Company.
This involves regularly attending about ten Board meetings a year, plus an AGM, engaging both in-person and remotely.
The role requires active participation in Board committees, taking on strategic assignments, and collaborating with other Board Members to ensure the Board operates successfully.
Building effective relationships within the Board is crucial for the role to drive the clients mission forward.
The client is particularly looking for someone with expertise in fundraising to complement the existing Board of Trustees.
The successful candidate should have extensive knowledge in marketing best practices and experience in securing funds from state bodies, private donors, and industries.
The role demands an ability to develop and manage sponsorship relationships and leverage social media to support fundraising initiatives and promote the clients services within the not-for-profit sector.
