Description

We are currently seeking committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees at an important phase in our organization's progression. The client is a prominent social care provider in Yorkshire and the North East, dedicated to transforming the lives of adults with complex needs since 1971. Our mission combines safe, stable housing with personalized care for individuals dealing with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, substance use issues, and homelessness. We are known for our person-centered approach, tailoring support to each individual's unique needs and aspirations, enabling them to lead fulfilling, independent lives.

As part of our strategic vision leading up to 2031, we are reinforcing our Board to mirror the diversity and insight of the communities we serve. We are looking to fill several key Trustee roles that will bring diverse expertise to our organization. These roles include Chair of the Finance & Business Committee, requiring a commercially experienced accountant to guide our financial decisions; Chair of the Quality & People Committee, needing an individual with extensive experience in adult social care; a Trustee with Housing Investment or Asset Management Experience to develop our housing strategy; and a Trustee with Housing Compliance Experience to ensure regulatory adherence and uphold resident rights.

The client believes that diverse perspectives promote stronger governance and more equitable outcomes. We invite individuals with lived experiences, diverse cultural insights, and varied professional backgrounds to contribute to our mission. As a Trustee, your role will involve making inclusive, informed decisions that challenge assumptions and broaden perspectives, enhancing our governance and accountability. By joining us, your voice and leadership will help ensure our services align with the realities faced by those we support, and contribute to building a more equitable organization. You will be part of a team dedicated to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
