This role supports an organization addressing behavioral health impacts related to gaming and gambling. As digital entertainment expands globally, the organization is working to strengthen protection for individuals and families through culturally competent clinical and helping professional resources, including the development and scaling of behavioral health certification tracks. The organization is transitioning from an initial working governance model to a governance and growth-focused Board of Directors, preparing to hire its first Executive Director and expand its global capacity.
The open positions are competency-based board seats intended for high-impact volunteer leadership that provides oversight and resources rather than clinical expertise. Primary competencies emphasized include business and nonprofit operations. Seats may include financial oversight and grant compliance, compliance and legal oversight related to nonprofit status and board communications, fundraising and development with experience in individual giving and corporate sponsorships, grant strategy and government relations support, marketing and public relations to build brand presence for major funders and partners, human resources and talent management to support the Executive Director and incoming staff search and performance review processes, and IT/technical management to guide improvements to infrastructure, processes, procedures, and cloud-based services.
Candidates are expected to submit a resume and a brief statement of interest highlighting their primary competency area, along with relevant board experience, relationships beneficial to the mission, and other information tied to the board seat competencies. The organization is an equal opportunity opportunity employer and encourages applications from individuals of all backgrounds and geographic locations.
