The client is seeking a volunteer Board Member with fundraising expertise to join their team at the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Outreach Project (DROP). This individual will work closely with the management team to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the client's vision and financial objectives. The role involves active participation in board meetings, sub-committee meetings, and the Annual General Meeting, as well as engaging with donors, sponsors, and stakeholders to secure sustainable funding.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in fundraising strategies, including grant applications, corporate sponsorship, individual giving, and digital fundraising. Strong networking skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors are essential. The Board Member with Fundraising Expertise will contribute to the client's strategic planning and communications strategy to support and shape the fundraising strategy. A genuine passion for the vision and mission of the DROP organization and a commitment to fulfilling the role, which requires 4-6 hours per month, are also necessary.
In addition to fundraising responsibilities, the Board Member will contribute to the development and implementation of DROP's strategic aims, raise the organization's profile as a valued community-based rehabilitation service provider, and support the Chairperson in leading the organization. The term of office for this role is annual, and while it is a voluntary position with no remuneration, the client will cover any out-of-pocket expenses incurred.
