We are seeking a board member with expertise in digital innovation, AI, and data to support the organization’s digital landscape and help ensure the responsible and effective use of technology to maximise impact. Board members provide strategic direction, help support financial sustainability, and maintain strong governance. They act collectively in the best interests of The client, bringing relevant expertise while supporting and constructively challenging the executive team.
Key responsibilities include providing strategic oversight of the digital landscape and technology adoption, advising on the ethical and effective use of AI and data, and supporting the development of data-driven decision-making capabilities. The role also involves identifying opportunities to improve services through digital innovation, and ensuring appropriate governance for data protection and cybersecurity.
The ideal candidate has experience in digital, data, AI, or technology strategy, along with a strong understanding of emerging technologies and their practical application. They should be able to translate technical concepts into strategic insights and have knowledge of data governance and relevant regulatory frameworks, including GDPR. Prior board or advisory experience is preferred, with a commitment to attending board meetings (typically 4–6 per year) and participating in occasional strategy sessions or subcommittees.
