The client is seeking new board members to provide governance, oversight, and strategic direction, while supporting the organisation in achieving its aims and making a positive impact within the local community. Board members will help guide priorities, strengthen accountability, and contribute their expertise to support the organisation’s continued development.
Board members are expected to attend and actively participate in board meetings, provide guidance and constructive challenge to management, and help shape and monitor the organisation’s strategic direction and priorities. They will oversee organisational finances, risks, policies, and performance, ensure good governance and accountability, act in the best interests of the organisation and the community it serves, maintain confidentiality, and declare any conflicts of interest.
Expressions of interest are sought from candidates with relevant skills and experience in areas such as human resources, law, community and voluntary organisations, governance, strategy development, and sports and recreation. Previous board experience is welcomed but is not required, and candidates who are committed to supporting The client and making a positive local contribution are encouraged to apply.
