The client is seeking two additional board members to help provide strategic oversight and governance. One role will focus on project management expertise, and the other will emphasize legal expertise. These board positions offer the opportunity to safeguard the organization’s health and support the continued growth, innovation, and delivery of independent living services for nearly 300 residents across six residences.
Board members oversee policy and governance and help ensure compliance with the organization’s multi-year strategic plan and applicable regulatory requirements. The client is embarking on a major retrofit programme and plans further housing builds in the coming years, and board members will play a key role in providing independent fiduciary oversight, ensuring adequate resources, and supporting sound management within an appropriate risk appetite and governance framework.
The client is seeking candidates with either extensive experience in project management or related professions such as surveyor or civil engineering, or substantial knowledge of the relevant legal framework as a solicitor, barrister, or equivalent legal qualification. A genuine commitment to volunteering and a willingness to support housing for elderly people in need are essential. Board meetings are held bi-monthly, virtually and in-person quarterly, with travel expenses paid where appropriate.
