The client is a feminist community development organisation providing trauma-informed services and support to women across Galway City and County. Services include telephone support, counselling support, information services, advocacy and accompaniment, and educational and support programmes based on empowerment principles.
The client is seeking new Board Members to serve as Directors and help guide the organisation’s strategic direction and governance. Previous experience with board governance and board functioning is desirable. Board meetings are held monthly and are offered in a hybrid format, and board members may also have opportunities to participate in Finance and Staff subcommittees.
This role offers the chance to support effective governance, oversight, and accountability while contributing to a well-established organisation committed to supporting women and promoting equality. Board members will be expected to help ensure responsible decision-making and organizational accountability through active participation in board and subcommittee work.
