The client is seeking a board member with expertise in fundraising and network development to help strengthen governance and oversight in support of its mission to advance a balanced food system. The client is guided by a Board of Directors led by a Chair and independent experts, and this opportunity will support expanded board membership to further enhance direction, accountability, and mission-focused leadership.
Key responsibilities include funder and network engagement by leveraging personal and professional connections to open doors to funders, corporate partners, and other global stakeholders, as well as helping identify additional communities to engage in order to diversify donor engagement. The role also focuses on positioning and visibility by advising on framing and positioning to strengthen the client’s credibility across global sustainability, food systems, health, and climate communities, including engaging influential ambassadors to shape reputation and support relevant philanthropy and policy discussions.
In addition, the board member will provide strategic fundraising guidance and oversight by unlocking connections across the board and activating other members as needed to support fundraising objectives, including oversight of fundraising impact and progress against targets and strategies. They will participate in and potentially chair the Development Committee, help strengthen governance frameworks, and support ethical decision-making aligned with board duties.
