The client is seeking voluntary board members to help continue providing and developing high-quality social housing in County Kildare. The client is particularly interested in people with experience in areas such as finance within an Approved Housing Body (AHB), housing or not-for-profit environments, property development, construction, or development finance, and social housing, tenancy, or housing management. Previous board experience is welcome but not essential, and applicants should be able to bring relevant professional experience, sound judgment, constructive challenge, and a commitment to the purpose and values of social housing.
Board members will meet quarterly and are also asked to participate in one of The client’s sub-committees, contributing their expertise to support more detailed oversight of specific areas of the organization’s work. As a board member and charity trustee, you will help shape the strategic direction, oversee governance, finances, risks, and performance, support continued development and improvement of housing services, and provide constructive challenge and support to the executive team to ensure effective delivery for tenants and communities.
This is a voluntary, non-executive role intended for people who want to make a meaningful contribution to social housing. Expressions of interest are welcome from individuals with a range of backgrounds, and The client is committed to building a board with a strong mix of skills, experience, and perspectives. To express interest, contact The client with a short note outlining your experience and why you would be interested in joining the board.
