the client is inviting applications or nominations for volunteer Board of Directors appointments. The current need is to add three new board members for the client’s services organization and four new board members for the client’s research and innovation organization, both focused on improving the quality of life for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals.
Board members will help provide policy and governance oversight through best-practice governance, supporting organizational strategy and continuous improvement with a collaborative, engaged approach. Ideal candidates have demonstrated policy governance experience and knowledge related to hearing healthcare, hearing loss, or Deaf culture, and may bring expertise that supports the organizations’ missions and barrier-free outcomes.
Critical competencies may include financial designation, government relations expertise, experience in the health, social services, or disabilities sector, and/or lived experience for the services organization; and experience with private and/or family foundations, fundraising, granting institutions, and/or oversight of research due diligence for the research organization. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume in confidence. The client is an equal-opportunity employer and is committed to an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection process, including accommodation where needed.
