Directors are also expected to complete orientation and ongoing education, comply with governance policies, and represent the hospital within the community when necessary.This role requires a significant time commitment, including preparation for meetings, attendance at approximately six board meetings per year, and service on at least one standing committee. Directors should expect to devote around 15 hours per month to fulfill their responsibilities.
