The Board will oversee the management of the client’s free, confidential, and independent money advice and budgeting service, including responsibilities for administering the State-funded “Abhaile” scheme that assists people experiencing mortgage arrears.
The client seeks new Board Directors with experience in finance, governance knowledge, and human resources. The role is voluntary, and while no fees are paid, travel and subsistence expenses will be covered where applicable. There are approximately 6–8 meetings per year, with Board meetings operating in a hybrid format and an in-person AGM held once a year.
the client’s service includes offices across Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, and Wicklow (Bray & Arklow), and the region’s meetings are hybrid to support participation. Applications are also invited from counties outside the region, with the expected total commitment of about 6–8 hours per month.
