The Present and Future State of the Work Environment
Rudish Health shared their first-ever survey where they analyzed data received from some of the most respected leaders in healthcare across the United States with a focus on the present and future of work. The findings from the survey were mostly confirmational and support the views that this new model of work is here to stay. Almost 70% of those working from the office full time want to shift to a hybrid or remote model, by far the highest percentage. 44% of respondents are working in the hybrid model. Are Executives Confident in their Organization's Growth Potential?
In Boyden's most recent executive survey, 528 CEOs and board members, and other leaders across different sectors were polled. The data revealed that while leaders are confident in their organization's growth potential, there is a lack of talent aligned to strategy, inconsistent thinking across the leadership team, and different skills are needed at the board level. A significant takeaway was that Latin America leads the world in Growth Confidence. 88% of respondents in Latin America are extremely confident or confident in their organization’s growth potential, compared with the global average of 77%. The Current State of Diverse Executive and C-Suite Hires
In the past couple of years, we have seen an increasing trend in diverse hires at executive and C-suite levels. When looking at Odgers Berndtson’s deeper dive into diversity data, it’s clear there's still a long way to go. The research found that 46% of diverse executives in the current Fortune 250 C-suite hold functional C-suite roles, like Chief Legal Officer or Chief Human Resources Officer. In contrast, typical CEO feeder roles, like COO and CFO, are much less diverse, with 22% of white candidates (compared to 15% of nonwhite candidates) holding these positions in the current F250 C-Suite. Survey Results from 1,000+ Chief People Officers
Eton Bridge Partners shares the findings of research from over 1,000 Chief People Officers who were appointed in the UK between 2019 to 2021. Notably, the researchers discovered that 41% of appointments to Chief People Officer were internal. This shows it's less likely to be appointed as CPO through an internal route. Another key takeaway was that Chief People Officers are generally being appointed at a younger age than previously. Also, sector experience is often cited as critically important when hiring, but around 50% of new CPO appointments are from out of sector. Find out more here.
Executives Making the Switch from Financial Services to Blockchain and Crypto
The Global Blockchain Business Council and Heidrick & Struggles conducted an online survey of 46 professionals who recently made the move from investment banks, asset management firms, hedge funds, or other types of firms. It was found that 20% of companies recruiting for senior roles in blockchain and crypto organizations used an outside recruiter.
